Ummmm… Yes, I will be sharing more healing protocols via high fives. Why have I never done this before?! Today, we tackle children’s earaches/infections…
There are very few available tools in today’s world of medicine and treatment that empower and offer a natural approach. After decades of overused antibiotics and covering up symptoms, we find ourselves in a landscape filled with superbugs and competing information. Essential oils offer a naturally brilliant approach to healing and wellness. They allow building awareness of the body’s needs on a daily basis. They also offer a big boost of complimentary support even when more traditional medicine is required.
Ear infections are unfortunately a common occurrence for the tiny humans in our lives. They’re a big source of discomfort and pain and are often challenging to root out of the body. Essential oils should never be dropped directly into the ears. Instead, apply a drop of lavender oil and a drop of melaleuca (tea tree) oil to a cotton ball and place into the ear (like an earbud). This is especially good for overnight application. Parents can also apply a lavender and melaleuca combo diluted with a carrier oil (e.g. coconut oil, olive oil, or almond oil) around the ear and over the forehead. For an extra boost, apply to the bottoms of the feet and cover with socks.
For added support, I recommend alkaline detox baths to help pull out the acidity and inflammation in the body that is underpinning the infection. Add several cups of baking soda to a standard bath.
